Being the world’s largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, Ngorongoro Crater is known as the eighth wonder of the world.
Although animals are free to move in and out of this contained environment, the rich volcanic soil, lush forests and spring source lakes on the crater floor tend to incline both grazers and predators to remain throughout the year.
2 Night / 3 Days Safari: Ngorongoro Crater
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater
Your safari begins in the afternoon from Arusha City where you will be picked up by your driver and guide in a 4×4 vehicle. You will drive across the Great Rift Valley to reach the lodge where you will get time to unwind, enjoy the scenery and dine in great cuisine. Your night will be spent at the lodge, comfy, readying for the game drive the next morning.
Day 2: Full Day Crater Tour
After breakfast, you will be starting you morning crater tour and game drive of the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated 180 km (112 miles) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera, lies within the area.
Your lunch will be served at the picnic site as you enjoy the African Sun and scenery. After your game drive, you will be heading back to the hotel to unwind and enjoy a nice dinner as you take in the Ngorongoro rim.
Day 3: Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, you will commence your journey back to Arusha City – concluding your safari of the Ngorongoro Crater upon drop off.
