8 Night / 9 Days Safari: Adventure Tanzania
Coverage: Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Tarangire National Park, Zanzibar Island
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire, Game Drive
Your safari begins from Arusha City where you will be picked up by your driver and guide in a 4×4 vehicle. You will drive to the Tarangire National Park. After a picnic lunch on route you will begin your afternoon game drive. You will check-in to your accommodation late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro
After your morning breakfast you will the opportunity for some game viewing, after which you will proceed to towards the Ngorongoro Crater with lunch on route. You will arrive late afternoon giving you ample time to unwind and enjoy the crater views before dinner.
Day 3: Full Day Crater Tour
After breakfast, you will be starting your morning crater tour and game drive of the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated 180 km (112 miles) west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera, lies within the area.
Your lunch will be served at the picnic site as you enjoy the African Sun and scenery. After your game drive, you will be heading back to the hotel to unwind and enjoy a nice dinner as you take in the Ngorongoro rim.
Day 4: Transfer to The Serengeti, via Olduvai Gorge
After breakfast, you will head into the vast Serengeti sanctuary, stopping over at world famous Olduvai Gorge, site on the discovery of the remains of prehistoric man. The immensity of Serengeti Park can best be expressed in its numbers. It is recorded that over a million animals live in this area, more than a third of them being wildebeest. This offers an enormous food supply for the lion, cheetah, leopard – an animal usually difficult to find in other Reserves.
Your lunch will be on route at the picnic site, arriving at the accommodation late afternoon. Once you check-in you can unwind and enjoy the views as your dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in The Serengeti
Your morning on the third day will begin early. You will begin an early morning game drive as the sun rises over the endless plains. This is the ideal time to watch the great hunts in progress. After your game drive you will head back to your accommodation for breakfast, shortly after you will depart again on your continued safari of the great Serengeti. Your lunch will be back at your accommodation after which you will further explore the great Serengeti late into the evening.
You will check back in to your accommodation late evening and unwind for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Manyara and Half Day Game Drive
Your safari today will begin shortly after breakfast as you transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. You will arrive at your accommodation just around lunch and will get a chance to unwind. Shortly after you will head to the Lake Manyara National Park gates to begin your half day game drive.
You will arrive at your accommodation late evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer to Arusha City, Flight to Zanzibar
After your morning breakfast you will be transferred back to Arusha City where you will be taken straight to the airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar. You will be provided a picnic lunch along the way.
After a short flight to Zanzibar, you will be transferred to your beach hotel where a host of amenities await you. Your selection includes various spa treatments, a dip in the pool, a swim in the Indian Ocean or just basking under the coastal sun on the white sandy beaches. The rest of your day will be spent relaxing beyond dinner.
Day 8: Beach and Sun
Your day is left open for you to decide. You may choose from various excursion offerings such as a Dolphin Safari, a Stone Town Tour, a trip to the old Prison Island, a Spice Tour of Zanzibar or just relax on the beach or poolside and take in the warm coastal climate.
Day 9: Beach and Sun, and Flight to Dar-es-Salaam
Your day is left open for you again to decide. You may choose from various excursion offerings such as a Dolphin Safari, a Stone Town Tour, a trip to the old Prison Island, a Spice Tour of Zanzibar or just relax on the beach or poolside and take in the warm coastal climate.
You will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport in the afternoon to board your flight to Dar-es-Salaam City, concluding your Tanzanian Adventure that you wont ever forget.
