Day 1:
Morning: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara, arrive lunch time, straight go for a gamedrive in Lake Manyara National Park, overnight Twiga Campsite.

Twiga Campsite
“Twiga is an excellent campsite located near Mto wa Mbu village, just a short way from the entrance to Lake Manyara Park. This is the best campsite to stop at on the way to Lake Manyara National Park. Facilities available include, well kept lawns, toilets, showers, small bar, restaurant, evening entertainment, clean bandas (huts) with double bedded rooms, en suite shower, mosquito netting. Covered cooking and dining areas.”

Wildlife in Lake Manyara National Park
“Apart from the tree climbing lions and large concentration of elephants, Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance. Squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias, while the diminutive Kirk’s dik-dik forages in their shade. Pairs of klipspringer are often seen silhouetted on the rocks above a field of searing hot springs that steams and bubbles adjacent to the lakeshore in the far south of the park”.

Day 2:
After breakfast depart for Serengeti via Oldupai Gorge, afternoon gamedrive in Serengeti National Park, overnight Seronera Campsite.
Seronera Campsite.

Seronera Campsite
“The Seronera campsites are well-located for game viewing in the Seronera area and provide the basic facilities required for campers including covered cooking areas, showers, toilets and camping areas. There several small campsites to choose from. The water supply at the campsites has frequently been disrupted by thirsty elephants so the showers do not always work”.

Day 3:
Depart with picnic breakfast for early morning gamedrive, after lunch departure to Ngorongoro Crater rim en-rote gamedrive in Serengeti National Park, overnight Simba Campsite.

Simba Campsite
“A very simple campsite overlooking the crater. At night in can be quite cold and misty because of the altitude. Facilities include covered cooking area and basic dining area, cold shower and toilet. Since new park regulations will restrict Crater Floor visits to half a day the advantages of staying here have been reduced. Nevertheless a useful staging point on the way to the Serengeti”.
